Lirio Vital (Lirio Sebastian Lalata in real life) was born on February 8 in Manila but spent her growing years in Makati. Her screen name Vital came from the last name of her paternal grandmother. Her father, Victor Lalata had his roots from Pangasinan, while her mother, Feliciana Sebastian from Virac, Catanduanes lived most of her life in Manila.
Lirio finished high school at the Pio Del Pilar High School in Makati. She took a 2-year course in Communication Arts at the Philippine Women’s University. She was later on inspired to further her studies at the University of the Philippines Conservatory of Music, upon the advise of her mentor, Armida Siguion-Reyna.

As she matured, Lirio’s singing career started to blossom. She became a contract star of Alpha Record, which was also the same recording company that launched the singing career of Nora Aunor. Lirio made her first record, “Beautiful Love” with Alpha. A few years later, she joined Vicor Music Entertainment Company, a Black Record affiliate.
Her career peaked during the early 70’s. As that period was quite turbulent, the talents who were launched the same time she was did not survive the times. Among her contemporaries, Lirio was the only artist who survived the 70’s and who was able to move on towards other fields in the business. With Mina Aragon, Head of Vicor Music Entertainment as her manager, she was able to start a new recording career with Black Record.

Part of Lirio’s singing career was her participation in “Balik Saya” together with Bert “Tawa” Marcelo.” “Balik Saya”, was organized by Lilia Andolong as a project to promote Philippine Tourism under the leadership of Doroy Valencia. “Balik Saya” was an outreach program – aimed to reach out to the Filipino communities in the different parts of the world. They toured the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. She also belonged to the ASEAN Artist Exchange, where she represented the Philippines.
Lirio has performed with Larry Gibbs and Billy Preston, and a trio performance with Pilita Corrales and Carmen Soriano at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Louie Heredia is one of the popular OPM artists of the '80's.   He didn't jive with the Bagets movement.  Instead, he was a crooner of his time.   His strength was being a balladeer.  With hits such as "Can Find No Reason", "Nag-iisang Ikaw", "Iisang Damdamin", "O Giliw Ko" to name a few, Louie has serenaded that generation with memories of great ballads.

Lea Salonga-Chien, OLD, (born February 22, 1971) is a soprano singer and actress from the Philippines well known for originating the lead role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon, for which she won the Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Theatre World awards.

She was the first Asian to play the roles of Éponine and Fantine in the musical Les Misérables on Broadway. She also provided the singing voice of two official Disney Princesses: Jasmine in Aladdin (1992), and Fa Mulan in Mulan (1998) and Mulan II (2004). Salonga was named a Disney Legend in 2011 for her work with the company.

Salonga made her professional debut in 1978 at the age of seven in the musical The King and I by Repertory Philippines. She became the lead star of Annie and joined other productions such as Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Fiddler on the Roof, The Rose Tattoo, The Sound of Music, The Goodbye Girl, Paper Moon and The Fantasticks.

She began her recording career at the age of ten with her first album, Small Voice, which received a gold certification. A song on the album, the duet "Happiness", marked her first recording collaboration with her younger brother Gerard Salonga, who would, years later, work with her as musical director or creative director in her concerts and recordings. Her second album, Lea, was released in 1988.

In addition to performing in musical theater and recordings, Salonga hosted her own musical television show, Love, Lea, and was a member of the cast of German Moreno's teen variety show That's Entertainment. She also opened for international acts such as Menudo and Stevie Wonder in their concerts in Manila in 1985 and in 1988, respectively.

Salonga was selected to play Kim in the musical Miss Saigon in 1989. Unable to find a strong enough East Asian actress/singer in the United Kingdom, the producers scoured many countries looking for the lead role of this major British production. For her audition, the 17-year-old Salonga chose to sing Boublil and Schönberg's "On My Own" from Les Misérables and was later asked to sing "Sun and Moon" to test the compatibility of her voice quality with the songs in the musical. The members of the panel were impressed with Salonga's rendition of the songs, noting that from Salonga's very first note, they already knew they had a potential Kim. Salonga competed with childhood friend and fellow Repertory Philippines performer Monique Wilson as they were tested with songs from the musical, which included "Too Much for One Heart", a number replaced by the duet "Please" just before the musical opened. Salonga was offered the lead role, with Wilson as her understudy (who was given the role of the bar girl named Mimi).

For her performance as Kim, Salonga won the Olivier for Best Performance by an Actress in a Musical for the 1989–1990 season. From its original London home, Miss Saigon moved to Broadway in April 1991. Salonga subsequently won the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and the Theatre World Awards for the same role. Between 1993 and 1996, she was asked periodically to play Kim on Broadway to boost ticket sales. In 1999, she was invited back to London to close the musical, and in 2001, at the age of 29 and after doing the Manila run of the musical, Salonga returned to Broadway to close the Broadway production.

Lea Salonga is a Lyric soprano with a range from A3 to C6. Salonga has been praised for the control over her powerful vocals which can easily showcase a wide array of emotion and soundscapes. In her popular music releases, Salonga has been known to sing "simple love songs" which is common in traditional Original Pilipino Music. In both Disney princess singing voices, Salonga showcases her head tones which reach up to F5 Lea Salonga's most famous role as Kim in Miss Saigon has been known as showcasing her voice well from the top to the bottom. Her top notes have a bright and angelic quality, while her lower range has warm round tones.

LILET was a child sensation when she sang the theme song of the international Coke commercial shot entirely in Liverpool, England. Along with children from all over the world representing their own countries, Lilet led the singing of the hit jingle entitled "Tomorrow's People".

She is the youngest of seven children in a very musically-inclined family. She
used to watch her brothers and sisters sing for the local church choir. Before she made
a name for herself as a teen singing sensation, she loved to jam with her siblings and their
band called the Musikinesis.

She used to join singing contests for children. It was during a sing-along contest sponsored by a
piano-making company where she was spotted by an advertising agent and asked to audition for the
Coke commercial that was for international release.

LILET's first ever musical album was entitled "Lonely Girl".She was then still a pretty twelve year old kid. It was produced by GOI records of Mr. Gryk Ortaleza. The very first single from the album, "Darating Ako", was composed by Nonoy Tan.

LILET's second musical album was produced by VIVA records. She was by this a very pretty teenager. The first single from the album, "This Song's Dedicated to You," was also composed by Nonoy Tan.The album also contains her moving renditions of the hit songs "Healing" and "Somewhere Out There".

LILET's third album "Kahit Minsan Lang" was the first of two musical albums under Alpha records. It includes two of her biggest teen hit songs "Kahit Bata Pa" and "Kay Palad Mo".

LILET's name in her first ever movie role as a magical fairy doll  was Marie which is not really far from her true name. Her real name is Maria Luz Lilet and now she wants to be known by her more adult nickname of Marielle. She likes to keep her surname a secret because it is so rare and therefore easy to trace.

Leo Valdez sang the theme song of the now classic musicale, "Magsimula Ka". As he was singing and descending the stairs of the Cultural Center of the Philippines' (CCP) Main Theater for the 40th anniversary, Valdez waxed nostalgic and personal.  His participation in the play almost three decades ago is still felt.

He was, as usual, very sincere and soulful in his rendition of the song, which he also recorded and popularized. “Magsimula ka” made Leo a terrific actor and singer.

As a matter of fact, his new version of the iconic piece was more mature and multi-dimensional. It was clear he has acquired a lot of insights from the reel stage translated in real life.

Leo’s musical history as an artist and as a person has been a long local and international journey. He has wowed even theater audiences abroad, which has made him more versatile.

Leah Navarro was still in her late teens when she became a major pop-music star in the Philippines in 1970s-80s.

Born to a well-off family, Leah's mom is Nelda Navarro, a singer herself who used have her own TV program The Nelda Navarro show. Leah was practically convent-bred and finished college at Assumption College in Makati City, around the time alumna Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was teaching there.

Her singing talent was discovered while still in school and she went on to sing pop music hits of the 1970s-80s such as Kailangan Kita and Saan Ako Nagkamali (both by George Canseco, Lagi na Lang (by Nonong Pedero) and Ang Pag-ibig Kong Ito which was later revived by Racel Tuazon, Moonstar88, Sheryn Regis, and most recently Frencheska Farr. Her interpretation of Isang Mundo, Isang Awit won the Grand Prize in the annual Metro Manila Popular Music Festival then actively sponsored by Imee and Irene Marcos, presidential daughters and music aficionados.

Her discography includes such singles as Hindi Ka Lilimutin, Totoo ba'ng lahat ng ito?, and songs from the stage play Tales of the Manuvu. Her debut album was self-titled, Leah.

In later years, Leah was rumored to have had relations with American actor, Anthony Finetti (star of The Expendables), in 1988 in and on the grounds of the Peninsula Hotel in Manila. It was rumored that things became quite serious between the two during filming until Finetti chose to return to the United States to pursue a career in professional mountaineering. Leah was purportedly heartbroken and she recently stated that Finetti was the love of her life, and that many of her ballads were secretly dedicated to him and his dashing looks.
