Cinderella is a famous Filipino band that rose to eminence together with such bands like VST and Company, The Hotdogs, and The Boyfriends. It is a soft but melodious Filipino band from the 1970s. It is known to have performed T.L. Ako Sa’yo (True Love Ako Sa’yo). It also made romantic classics such as Bato Sa Buhangin, Sa Aking Pag-Iisa and Superstar ng Buhay Ko. They’re also a band part of the Manila sound.

Cinderella is made up of eight members. They are Cecile Colayco in lead vocals, Snaffu Rigor in vocals and drums, Violy Estrellado in back-up vocals, Sunny Ilacad in keyboard, Bob Guzman in guitars and vocal back-up,Celso Llarina in rhythm guitar and back-up vocals, Gig Ilacad in bass guitar, and also the late Yolly Samson in vocals also. Famous comedians like Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon are good friends to the band. They also composed songs for the band such as Ang Boyfriend Kong Baduy. Yolly Samson died on November 21, 1997 due to complications of brain cancer. She was just only 41.

Claire de la Fuente (Born December 28, 1958[1] in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino singer in the 1970s who achieved celebrity status with the jukebox hit "Sayang". She was dubbed "the Karen Carpenter of the Philippines" as her voice has a striking resemblance to that of the late singer. Her first album in 1977 was then the Philippines' biggest-ever seller. She went on to make seven more albums. Besides "Sayang", she is also known for hits like "Minsan-Minsan" and "Nakaw Na Pag-ibig".

She was awarded the title "Queen of Tagalog Songs," alongside Rico J. Puno as her counterpart. She was also named "Jukebox Queen," together with her contemporaries Imelda Papin, Eva Eugenio and the late Didith Reyes. She was also dubbed as "Asia's Sweetest Voice" and won praises from musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Richard Carpenter (of "The Carpenters").

She is in the works to record a new album with a song by Richard Carpenter as its title track entitled "Something In Your Eyes".

Her name has started to ring a bell in many people’s ears, as Christie Gatchalian-Buan moves out from behind her parents’ shadows and begins to carve a name for herself among the overseas performing artists (OPAs) and the Philippine entertainment export industry. Gatchalian Promotions is one of the pioneers in the industry, founded by Rogelio Gatchalian and Teresita Apolinario. Teresita was the vocalist of a band called “Ronnie Villar and Firedons.” Before the band could wax its first single, Teresita married Rogelio Gatchalian.

Legaspi is a successful recording artist, having produced albums and singles that reached gold and platinum status during the '70s and '80s. Her album Ako si Celeste under Blackgold Records was awarded gold, and produced hit singles “Saranggola ni Pepe”, “Tuliro”, and “Gaano Ko Ikaw Kamahal?”. The Celeste album spawned the famous “Mamang Sorbetero”. Her albums Bagong Plaka, Lumang Kanta Vols. 1 and 2 albums under Wea Records both reached the double platinum mark.

She won several awards including Outstanding Performance award from the Song Festival in Tokyo, Japan, where she sang "Puso Mong Nagmamahal" (1976), Tinig Awards for live entertainment (1977, 1979, and 1990), and the Aliw Award for Entertainer of the Year (1978).
