Her name has started to ring a bell in many people’s ears, as Christie Gatchalian-Buan moves out from behind her parents’ shadows and begins to carve a name for herself among the overseas performing artists (OPAs) and the Philippine entertainment export industry. Gatchalian Promotions is one of the pioneers in the industry, founded by Rogelio Gatchalian and Teresita Apolinario. Teresita was the vocalist of a band called “Ronnie Villar and Firedons.” Before the band could wax its first single, Teresita married Rogelio Gatchalian.
